Structural

Everybody is unique and every massage should be too. As uniquely mobile structures moving in the field of gravity we all have a distinct set of compensatory patterns which help or hinder our movement through the world. Structural massage emphasizes the foundational function of your feet and pelvis, full, easy breath and pain-free movement in the spine and joints. The underlying goal of each session is to improve locomotor function and postural balance in addition to treating local pain patterns. Alexis has worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life to address musculoskeletal pain, postural imbalances, chronic conditions, fatigue and stress.

Progressive

Alexis promotes a proactive approach to your long-term health care goals, including enhancing performance, improving anatomical alignment and Pre and Post-natal support.  Based on your initial consultation, visual assessment and ongoing feedback each session is tailored to your goals. Simple and personal suggestions for stretching, strengthening and self-care are always offered. As symptomatic pain recedes your goals may change along with your body, mind and experience.

Integrated

Massage can alleviate pain AND invite relaxation. Whether you are in rehabilitation, intensive training or sustaining every day aches and pains, a thoughtful integration of techniques ensures effective therapeutic results while relieving chronic tension and stress. With over a decade of professional training and experience Alexis is prepared to offer customized massage that works for you.
