What is it like?

One-on-one guidance through active and restorative Asana (poses) and Pranayama (breath work). We will use props, hands on adjustments and dynamic imagery to give you a new experience in your body.

Principles for Practice

Private yoga is a practical frame for learning self care techniques. Active and restorative poses offer a myriad of functional applications for strength and mobility. Breath awareness and manipulation provide ways of soothing or energizing your mood in the moment and over time. Alexis teaches yoga as an awareness practice for generating personal power through embodiment. As a Katonah Yoga – inspired teacher she teaches students how to fold at the joint to fit themselves and provides vivid maps for navigating their own bodies in and out of poses.

Who Is It For?

Mastery is measured by an ability to be present in your body rather than the difficulty of the pose. Appropriate for the movement-curious, new practitioners and finely tuned Yogis, alike.
